My personal astrophysicist

Due to COVID lockdown here in the Netherlands, we can’t go to the gym, so I’ve been walking outside at least 1 hour a day. I usually listen to podcasts, especially Fake Doctors Real Friends, but that is at best only 2 times a week. After trying other podcasts I have come to the conclusion, why not go through my backlog of books?

After some quick searching and chatting with friends, many of them were already listening to audiobooks during exercising. Guess I’m a bit late to the game! So I opened my list of books I want to read and first on my lists was Astrophysics for People in a Hurry by Neil deGrasse Tyson.

In this book NDT goes through topics like:

  • Our place in the universe
  • Dark Matter
  • Black Holes
  • or the history of astrophysics

If these topics sound interesting to you, or you want to learn a little bit about it. Give it a go. I however went for the audiobook, which is even better. The soothing voice of dr. Tyson will guide you through the universe as you explore it. At the end, you will be amazed, stunned and basked in insignificance.
